HANDWASHING & SANITIZING STATIONS

The importance of handwashing has been carried out throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Ensure that adequate handwashing or hand sanitization stations are available to employees and staff throughout the workplace.

• Require proper handwashing and/or hand sanitization:
• Upon entering the worksite
• After using the restroom
• Before and after eating/breaks
• Before/after touching eyes, nose, or mouth
• Before/after using shared items, such as tools, printer machines, telephones, etc.
• Before/after putting on or removing masks
• Before/after using company vehicles, industrial trucks, etc.

USE OF MASKS

If workers are using masks, encourage the use of medical-grade masks in the workplace. Ensure that all workers are aware of how to properly put on masks so that the nose and mouth are fully covered and secure. Make sure employees are properly disposing of masks and washing hands before and after application and removal

HEIGHTENED CLEANING MEASURES

Repeated cleaning of high-contact surfaces, such as:

• Door handles
• Toilet handles
• Lightswitches
• Time punch clocks
• Keypads/Access points
• ATMS/Debit machines
• Phones
• Elevator buttons
• Communal workplaces
